We treat human being/ system as a whole and not just a part which is diseased. We cure ‘diseased person’ and not a disease of a person. We see individual patient as a whole. Consider his entire constitution i.e. comprised of mental and physical symptoms which we were talking about few lines before.

   What does human make up is? About his appearance, personality in complete aspect. ‘ Total personality.’

          Some would but natural think about that what is the use of knowing the whole person for just minor allergy or sneezing problem. It is like  a detective case history where by you have just one clue or hint in your hand and through which you have to hunt for entire story behind it. It indicates the path to reach ‘ultimate success’.

How to find out this basic constitution? It is based on physician patient relationship. This is one path. Because in practice, a good relationship is expected  more than cure by patient. He should feel that someone knows him, understands him to whom he can relate anytime. As he recognizes his assets. Such a person he accepts as a source of strength. Most often he is the only person to communicate which he can’t tell anyone else. Only if physician understands patient’s mental attitude, his fears, insecurity. Then only he can allay the anxiety. Lead to better mental health and will help in cure.
